In a security breach, the official YouTube channel of the Supreme Court of India has been hacked Today. Supreme Court’s YouTube is typically used to live stream hearings of the Constitution Bench cases and matters of public interest. However, the YouTube channel of the Supreme Court of the country is now showing videos promoting XRP, a cryptocurrency developed by the US-based company Ripple Labs.

Apart from the several videos on cryptocurrency, content currently came to light when a blank video titled” Brad Garlinghoue: Ripple Responds To The SEC’s $2 Billion Fine! XRP PRICE PREDICTION” went live on the official Supreme Court YouTube channel.

Brad Garlinghouse is the CEO of Ripple Labs, a firm that has been in legal conflicts with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Plus, it seemed that hackers also appeared to have made videos from before the Supreme Court hearing private.

For your information, the YouTube channel of the Supreme Court of the country is used to broadcast hearings related to cases before Constitution Benches and matters of public interest. Plus it raised questions about the integrity of the platform following the incident.

Currently, this issue has not been solved, the official Bar and Beach Supreme Court authorities are looking into resolving this matter soon.

Recently, the Supreme Court also streamed a hearing in the sensitive RG Kar Medical Hospital and college rap and murder case.

Following the breaking verdict on the matter in 2018 in a unanimous decision taken by a full court meeting headed by the CJI UU Lalit, the Supreme Court started the live-streaming proceedings of all constitution bench hearings.
